Round reed is cut from the core of rattan. It is machine cut to approximate diameters and smoothness.
The reed texture is very smooth with excellent density. It has superb flexibility. There might be a slight differences in size and color from strand to strand. Round reeds are used for basketry, wicker and reed furniture and repair.
Each one pound coil consists of random lengths, ranging from a few ft in length up to 8, 10 ft+ on average.
